Learning theories are descriptive; it describes what happens. Instruction, however, is not descriptive. It's hard to go from learning theories to instructing as a learning theory is really prescriptive (the how). Does this make sense what I'm typing? It's so hard to keep track of all of the various theories, ideas, and vocabulary for this instructional design project!

Why do we formulatively evaluate things?

Usability Testing:
-Learnability
-Ease of use
-Errors
-Productivity
-Retention (for testing later)
-Satisfaction, etc

Tools for conducting:
-Introduction, collect demographic information
-Observational checklist
-Specific tasks for the users
-Think Aloud/Verbal report
-Debrief/Oral interview
-Video analysis
